Who are we?

Hello there! We are Melanie & Jeff. We operate a 500 acre regenerative farm near the city of Swift Current located in Southwest Saskatchewan. Together we have 8 sons, hence the farm name of KRAZY 8 CROFT! Melanie is a retired nurse of 35 years and Jeff works full time in the auction industry but together with their family they tackle all of the jobs to run their regenerative farm operation. Melanie and Jeff purchased their first Highland cow Claudette in late 2021 and fell in love with this gentle and elegant breed of cattle. We have now grown our small herd to include 10 Highland animals, along with a small flock of sheep, a fabulous Kune Kune pig named Penny and a commercial herd of Angus mix cows. Visitors to our farm always enjoy interacting with our animals and love learning about our regenerative, pasture to plate approach to producing healthy food for healthy humans. We are passionate about regenerating the land and improving not only the soil, but the quality of the food that we AND our animals consume.
